The way you have it set out is not the standard PunBB format. So you have probably applied this... http://wiki.punres.org/Last_post%27s_su … orum_index
Post your code (forum.php) and I am sure someone will help
Could you confirm this is changed for 1.2.17... if/when it happens
Yes, it's an accessibility thing. And Google doesn't care what comes first as much as it cares about the stuff in h1, h2, etc. It's not going to be an issue, trust me.
Cheers
EDIT:
One more quick question...
Why cant the mod_rewrite do this...
http://www.example.co.uk/Test-forum/
intead of this
http://www.example.co.uk/forum1-Test-forum.html
Just curious.
i.e. Folder based (fancy) if thats even possible.
A little question... Shoot me down if I should not ask.
But on the new 1.3 will the following be staying...
<ul>
<li><a href="#pun-main1">Skip to forum content</a></li>
<li><a href="#pun-navlinks">Skip to forum navigation</a></li>
</ul>
The only reason I ask is that google indexs that content before the meta tag on the index page.
Its not a bug... so I wasnt sure if to mention it. Sorry guys.
DO NOT bump... Especially less than 24 hours from when you posted.
Maybe the error on your screen might give it away......
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare makeurl() (previously declared in /home/special/public_html/include/rewrite.php:3) in /home/special/public_html/include/rewrite.php on line 22
Report it to whoever hosts portbb. Its not PunBB responsbility I am afraid.
I would advise using this one instead... http://www.punbb-hosting.com/
Well i am sure they will create a couple of basic example apps to show the power of the exstension system.
Also... Is this PunBB on its own? or a modified enhanced punbb?
Because I have had this problem on a modified punbb... I think it was puntal... but cant confirm.
Good for them... shame when I last looked is still as bloated as the last. Plus page times have only improved slightly... and not on all pages.
Erm... think I will stay.... with PunBB.
Good man smartys.
Ok people a little update.
Revision update - 1149
Mod_Rewrite is now possible. It does not break the site down.
Also I have added an example extension. - Thanks elbekko
Ok you sure that your editing the very first post? if not... then your not registering for permission to edit the subject.
Check the date on most of those. I know that no host is perfect Steven but c'mon there are tons out there that ar far worst. I have absolutely no complaints about them so far. I am just blown away with their support and having great support to me is key.
Sorry mate... I was just pointing out that its pot luck for the individual. All companies can give bad customer service to one and excellent to the next.
By the way last review... 14th Nov 2007
Erm isnt that like 2 weeks ago lol
Think of it like NTL (now Virgin Media) ((aUK broadband supplier)). You will find sites created... that hate and loath this company. But I have been a happy customer for over 4 years now. Not one problem and down time is impossible to notice. Eventhough all that hatred I would still recommend them to anyone in the UK.
Sounds like you dont have authority to do so.
You won't find complaints with westhost. I did some serious investigation into them for quite some time.
lol... you really should not say stuff like this. I already searched westhost and nearly posted the results but decided not to.
But first result from google.
Personally I would look for the ones with the best support.
At the end of the day you can google all these companies and they will have a mass of complaints.
But! its the ones that help you when your having problems that matter.
Its hard to pick a great all round webhost.
Make your own redirection function.
Cheers I will try it out this evening when I finish work.
Well as the subject says really, im looking into making a punbb mod for Google calendar.
Just wondering if anyone had any particular ideas? or additions to my initial concept below.
My intention is for a simple addition to the profile page so it shows the Calendar information for that person, if they wish of course.
Cheers guys...
EDIT: Can someone move this to PunBB Discussions. Apologies.
First I understand that your not near release date.
I was just curious if anyone has made a very simple extension that I could possibly add to Pun 1.3 latest SVN Demo.
No problem if this is not possible yet.
Note this one is free...
have you seen smarty's site? http://www.punbb-hosting.com/
If your after paid-web-hosting for/and a domain? then post here and I will send you a mail. I have some web hosting available.
I think it probably does the same on all browsers. At a certain size it breaks apart (ie when you play with the width of the browser). So probably not classed as a problem.
Thats why I prefer set width
Eventhough I want it yesterday... I would rather have it when it is ready and stable.
