I really don't care about the copyright notice, but I do like it when there's a link back to punbb.org. The way it looks now is fine by me.

Sorry but I just moaned earlier... because to busy moaning I forgot to mention that it does look very good mate. IE is a bit of a weird one (which you have already mentioned), but in mozilla it looks top notch mate. I hope when you get time you can play around with the IE side of it.

Other than that mate... keep up the good work.

I am still working on my site sad

If he'd rather I put the Punbb copyright back, I'll most certainly do so.

Plus would it not make more sense to have left it on and then ask Rickard if any problem with removing and putting it somewhere else.

But thats just my opnion.

You could have left the copyright to Rickard though......

There's a whole page devoted to Rickard and PunBB on the site, so I don't think it's an issue of "respect". If he'd rather I put the Punbb copyright back, I'll most certainly do so.

I have checked the site again and couldnt find anything, well except noticed that you have changed the bottom and added 'and PunBB' in the powered line. I am not saying its not their, just saying I cant find it.

I think...not sure though... that he would ask for the copyright on. Because by saying its ok to remove it, is stating that everone can take it off. I could be wrong...maybe rickard can voice his opinion on this...
I also would be interested in having the copyright in a different section of my site, so would love your opnion to Rickard.

My turn...

Thank you to everyone who has made PunBB possible. I am a person that likes the features of phpBB, BUT!! I more love the fact that most of the features can be added on PunBB.
Which to me makes PunBB such a powerful forum package.

I have tested the difference between simple clicks in both PunBB and also phpBB, the difference in speed is noticable and amazing. Thank you... I like speed over everything... smile

Also I would like to thank not just the makers of punBB but also the community. Its amazing the speed and response of the fellow PunBB'ers (Not a word I know). Plus also the capability of these people... Thanks to you all...

My turn over...

I agree with Tobi... its respect...

Sorry... but how does this feature help people...

I think I am going to change all my forums to the mark as read mod. Because if this is the case, my users would not appreciate it.

Thanks for the info though. You learn something new every day.

I win about between 200 & 300$ per month with Google and they paid at the end of the month. Any problem.

Sorry...Being stupid here... but 'WIN'... what do you mean win?

I can understand why some would have Google Ads... but personally I would rather not have them, any site is so much cleaner without them.

I log into both PunBB.org and PunRES.org every morning when I get into work to check for any gossip or info.

This morning I logged into PunRES.org and read all the new posts and then clicked on Mark All As Read. When I transfered to my other IE page with PunBB.org already open and clicked on to a section... It cleared what was new posts, so I wasnt 100% certain what I have read and what I havent.

Is this meant to happen? and is their any particular reason this happened?

Thanks

so after i install the mod for 1.2.7 what do i need to change to get it to work?

Apologies but I cannot help as I was tinkering left, right and centre. I wanted only specific forum groups to use this mod and some other groups not to use this mod, so I changed the code a little.

Any news or annoucements on my site I would prefer them to click a button to acknowledge reading it, as well as actually reading it. Just a double safety...

Sorry I couldnt help.

Not working when I tried it... sad

Sorry...

For the changing of the fonts and what not.

You just need to change the stylesheet, which is located in /forum/style/ and also maybe look at the corresponding style sheet in /forum/style/import

If you understand stylesheets then these should be pretty straightforward and easy to change.

Any problems then ask away...will try to help. smile

If you check round in the forums you will find simliar posts with simliar request.

But in short you will need to edit the /include/template/main.tpl

I am no expert programmer or designer but have good common sense for checking code. Below is an example to have an understanding of what will be positioned where. This is how I learned from basics...

Below is the standard MAIN.TPL with just simple letter between each line, you change this for your one and you will understand the positioning of everything. The amount of people that put code in completely the wrong place. This simple test file can stop all of that.

Just like to say that all done on 1.2.7.
All working ok...  smile at the moment - fingers crossed.

Pretty easy to do the changes when put the effort in.

Anyway thanks for the orignal code to change much appreciated.

Sounds spot on to me.

If your still having trouble or if that is not the problem then let me know and will post the code I use.

StevenBullen

Ok will have a play. I only say it because it stops it running because of the version. I am sure that is easily bypassed and will have a look into it. Cheers

Oh well... sad
Thanks for the quick reply anyway.

On the scale of 1-10, how hard do you think it would be for me to bodge the old one... smile

Cheers

Thank you. Much appreciated...

DELETED. smile

Yes, you should delete the install.php I think.

You say I think...

Can anyone confirm this... it makes sense to delete it... but I am no expert... lol well not yet...

Thanks...

Cheers Paul...

Works fine on my site, much appreciated. Did have a little trouble with the absolute path though. For some reason if I put in this...

http://www.DOMAIN.co.uk/forum/img/folder.gif - DID NOT WORK

but if I put in this...

/forum/img/folder.gif - WORKED GREAT smile

Very weird, as I have other things that use the full path and works fine. But hey I am not bothered because it works fine.

Once again... Cheers...
