i am crating a shout box per clan, so people create clans and "shout"
hower i am using Poki BB Chatbox 2.0 and have included the script for the chatbox on any page. however, i cant seem to pass my ID variable across to chatbox.php
it goes
URL : ...?id=333
View clan page
----guestbook.php -| How do i get the varible (333) from this page
------- chatbox.js -| across this page
----chatbox.php -| and onto this page??
( guestbook = file with the anypage code in) gets the varaible fine, and work.
now i would just skip the guestbook.php code and use chatbox but that seems to align everything, ( apart from header and footer ) to the div it is it??? and i was unable to remove it.
any idea's
All i cant think of, is when the someone clicks the link to go, it will insert the id into the database, and it will have to work off that.
only down side is that you wont be able to send clan links and have the shoutbox work unless refresh?

in your html file, prob index.html, remove the content, where you want the forum part to go.
Open up punbb > includes > template > main.tpl
now you want <pun_head> in your head and everything in the body, copy that to your content part.
then when you have finished coping everything from main.tpl to your html, copy everything and paste over everything in the main.tpl

in FF the site is to the left, not center.
the boxes arnt rounded.

punbb is secure. I have had no probelms with it securitys wize, the only cases i have heard of is people gaing access via there admin password, which you will have on ANYTHING, if you have an easy pass.

is it me or does the form not work in FF? no error message, jsut takes me back?
to me personaly it seems a bit iffy:
you have joined the forum today, never known you before, and you have made a install script.
now im no expert, but im sure when creating a script you will need to ask a few questions on the punbb forum? would you? but the form dosnt work, our password isnt protected, so to me i guess it is going to your email adress, the page donst take me anywhere, you havnt done much work on the punbb forum, you have done it in under 1 day?
to me personaly seems weird.

well you could create one section and then install sub catorgrays like:
General (the catagory)

you only need to chmod cache folder and files and then avatars, its generaly a security risk if you chmod all of them.
