I have installed this mod tons of time sand that was never an issue for me. You must have missed something along the way. I would suggest that you go over the instruction again.

Well, this is great news. I am dying to install it and look it over. Especially the theme system which is my strong point.

The difference on the front page size was 2.7KB. I'm still interesting in doing it but I wish I had spent those lost hours working on an install script instead
yes, yes...I agree..I am anxiously waiting.

Well, I will wait until it is released with an installer. I really wanted to get it installed on my local PC because it looks interesting and not to mention punBB can be used with it. I have been dying to see an integration like this.

Sorry for my blatant honesty. I did read your post at the top but I am merely stating my opinion. Whether it is constructive or not, it simply makes no sense to me to release it without a proper way of installing it. I just can't understand it. I am not trying to be difficult, just honest and straightforward. I apologize if that has offended you in any way, it was definitely not my intention.

Re: Logicfury (Lightweight CMS) and punBB (18 replies, posted in PunBB 1.2 modifications, plugins and integrations)
This is by far the MOST complicated CMS to install. I usually never have any problems whatsoever installing these CMS's. I have spent 20 minutes trying and all I get is a blank page over and over again. I had to manually import the sql file via phpmyadmin and then I loaded the site after entering my config info. In this modern day and age that we live in, you would think that there would be an install script. Any developer who can't take the time to write an install script obviously is not catering to everyone. If I had to rate this as a CMS which I can't even get working, I would give it a -1 out of 10. Simply horrible installation method.

IMO its kind of lame to fork some else's work then promote your utensil on their website.
I'll stick w/ punbb. lots-o-luck
I totally agree with your comment. This makes absolutely no sense to me.

Re: Is there a way to remove side blocks (3 replies, posted in General discussion)
I will try that but is this a stupid thing to do inside the file:
define('PUN_ADMIN_CONSOLE', 1);
define('PUN_ROOT', './');
This solves the problem and a regular user doesn't have admin access to the mod admin functions.

Topic: Is there a way to remove side blocks (3 replies, posted in General discussion)
I am just wondering if there is way to remove the left/right side blocks on my site. I am using the miniportal mod but I have a narrow theme and an upload mod but the text is not wrapped so because of the left/right blocks I don't see it all. Is there some way I can add some code in the actual file so that when I view the mod the left/right blocks are removed?
Thanks

Re: Mega Pun has been released! (12 replies, posted in PunBB 1.2 modifications, plugins and integrations)
This is just an update. I have been making some changes to some files for Mega Pun. I guess it doesn't matter how much to test and test chances are there will be problems. I noticed a few problems with some of the narrow themes, smiley popup and color popup pallet. I have already fixed them. Here are some of the changes I had to make:
Lune Theme - made smaller "forward" image because it was over lapping in FF and IE6+
BBCode Color Menu - I originally used the pun class for the window but this became a problem when using the sBlog, Lune and Simple themes. The header image was always present in the popup so I had no choice but to hard code some text styles in the actual script. Anyway, classes coul dbe added to each theme instead which is something I will consider.
What's next? Well, I along with tinytim was trying to get the punDownloads installed but there have been numerous problems along the way so this may be a no go. Thanks to quaker I may add punuploadextra1.1 to it instead. I may have to make some changes to that script as well as far as the layout is concerned.
There you go!

I am running mine locally and I have no problems at all. I am actually using winxp though. As for the other errors. Unfortunately I am not good with all that. Sad to say, but very true. I only put this together so that users could have a site that looked like mine. If anyone is willing to hop in here are make it better I would be more than happy to assist in any way possible.

Topic: A little help needed with pun downloads MOD (0 replies, posted in General discussion)
I am trying to add the pun Downloads mod to my site. I am having a problem and here is what it is.
I am using a mod called Forum Notes. I have managed to get the downlaod mod working but my problem is in this line:
This is what I am suppose to replace:
<th><a href="admin_forums.php?edit_forum=<?php echo $cur_forum['fid'] ?>">Edit</a> - <a href="admin_forums.php?del_forum=<?php echo $cur_forum['fid'] ?>">Delete</a></th>
with:
<th><a href="admin_forums.php?<?php if ($cur_forum['type'] == '1') echo 'edit_d_forum'; elseif ($cur_forum['type'] == '2') echo 'edit_l_forum'; else 'edit_forum'; ?>=<?php echo $cur_forum['fid'] ?>">Edit</a> - <a href="admin_forums.php?del_forum=<?php echo $cur_forum['fid'] ?>">Delete</a></th>
What happens is this. If I remove the original line then I obviously don't see the options to add a new download forum. However, if I add the new line I can see the options to add a new download forum but then when I try to save it I get a message "You must enter a note heading" The Forum Note heading is not there. Now, if I leave the 2 lines above in there I can pick and choose which ones I want to use for editing and adding forums or editing or adding a download forum. I am hoping someone can help me with this. Sorry if it all seems too confusing. I can't think of a better way to explain myself.
Thanks

There appears to be quite a bit of folder and files that aren't required. I am in the process of updating the package. Once I am complete, I'll update the punres archive and the shedrockonline archive.

Giga might have come next if only I could have implemented the pun downloads and forum attachments but those were a pain to add to the package. I had too many problems with them so hopefully someone can fiddle around with it and hopefully get it into the package.

Mega Pun is simple to install. Just one click and you're on your way so head on over to Shedrock Online and grab it. You can download it directly from the Announcement block.
Comments and Suggestions welcome. You can post them over on the site.
Enjoy!
