Not every single extension needs its own page: most can simply add to an existing page via hooks wink
If an extension wants to add a page to the admin panel, it can either add a tab to the top (where Start, Settings, etc are) when appropriate or add to a submenu.

Configuration page like the admin/options.php page? Use hooks in admin/options.php,

As I have told you now at least 3 times, the issue was the same one that's here tongue

The phpMyAdmin in the link you sent me started working, so I'll do it.

Edit: Done

It's the same issue. As I said, YOU need to change it in the database.

You switched styles. There are several topics on the subject already in the forums explaining that only Oxygen is working and switching will make your install not work. Your phpMyAdmin link didn't work, so I couldn't fix the problem in the database: that's up to you to fix. I just changed the cache file so that the pages would load.
And closed, since this is in at least two other topics. smile

OK, drop me an email
Edit: I should note that you shouldn't be using 1.3 in a production environment smile

Well, if you have no idea what you did, we have no idea what you did. So, you upload fresh copies (meaning download another copy of PunBB and upload the files over your existing ones). If the problem is related to you messing with the files, that should fix it.

Upload a fresh copy of the files. wink

Not without seeing the error log, that error is too generic. It sounds like a server issue though.

I've never seen that, but I never go to the homepage. tongue
If you can figure out why it happens, we'll be more than happy to fix it. It looks like your browser's just not loading one of the stylesheets.

Yes, I know. My point is that there is no sendmail binary for Windows computers, as far as I know. Windows PHP relies on SMTP to send mail.

I know you did, but posting an extension and as a part of asking the user to add a hook defeats the purpose of the extension system: especially since this is a beta, you're better off asking, waiting, and then taking advantage of the official hook tongue

Paul: fair point, especially with the extension system and the templates being easy to replace.

There is no Win32 sendmail. wink

Suggest places for new hooks, don't direct people to modify their installs to add your hooks? wink

Or we could leave it as it is, let people create an HTML sanitization extension if they want, and trust that a user who uses content negotiation or wants to have valid XHTML knows enough to fix any mistakes they make? smile

I'm not really sure what you're asking, but that's the modification.

Do you know the most common way of handling this feature, for example as other forums do? Do they store a list of read topics for each user, or there is some other smart way of doing this?

There's a reason I asked you how you would do it (so no) wink

Hence the question: Would extension system allow me to create/use extra database tables, say for storing read topics for each user?

Yes
