Here is a message I received today from a regular forum member
When I log in and write a post then come to submit it I find that I have been logged out, so I have to copy my post and log in again. paste my post and submit it as quickly as I can otherwise I will be logged out again.
Since the upgrade to 1.3 I'm getting lots of people complaining about being logged out several times per day. They claim to be ticking the "stay logged in" checkbox but they still keep getting booted.
This is a common complain since 1.3 and I never had a complaint like this using 1.2. Hope this helps.
Anybody up for this challenge?
It would save 3 vertical lines per post. With 2 posts per page that is a lot of space saved and a more efficient view.
rahahm33 wrote:this extension really needs some work. im not able to use it on my forums due to the mere fact that it doesnt produce valid xhtml code and it lacks basic features such as a submit button (duh?)
Don't be rude. Make a version yourself if you want to improve it.
99% of users don't need a submit button. The ENTER key works just fine
marc100 wrote:I cant find 1.9.3 anywhere. I just found 1 person saying dont use it because its a high load on the server.
Ill give someone $20 via PayPal to give me the mod I need for my version.
I have such a headache from reading that thread theres no way Ill do it myself.
PM me if someone wants the money. thanks

Find user Garciat on here.
Ask him to handle your upgrade to version 1.3
Make him an offer perhaps? Tell him what you need
This is still present in 1.3.2
Nominate Garciat.
He's fast, efficient and gooooood.
Awesome, I can't wait
Merry Christmas & all that!
Excellent work.
For now I'm going to resist installing this.
I've a feeling my users would love it but I am trying to keep thinks as text-based as possible. Looks good though!!

Or just find a neater way to do it.

Garciat I didn't get your email
I'll email you through this forum now and you can then reply so that I will know your email address. CHEERS FOR THE UPDATE
If you check the site of the people who made the theme, they have a GPL license on their themes which means they are free for public use and alteration but they retain some intellectual copyright. That is my own understanding of that license, I could be wrong.

1. Loving your work
2. See it in action here
3. There doesn't seem to be ALT text. It's useful so you can just hover mouse over the avatar to see the username
4. PayPal offer still stands if you PM your email to me.
I've installed and am enjoying "informer"
I don't need this extension but it looks fab for those who do.
Good work (again)!
I'll give it a whirl. Feedback coming later
Yes, definitely share! that would be fab
Here you go. 1.3 with online avatars
brill!
So far, so good for me. It would be great if I had the option to remove the username from underneath. Another little true/false option would be great for that. Also, it would be good if the "clean" version would completely strip out all formating so that it looked like this:
Loving it so far.
See this in action here:

There are likely to be 6 or 7 people online at about 9pm British time.
Brilliant. I love it. I'll test it tonight and post any feedback.
Do you have a paypal email address?
If so please post it here or send it to me at eRoyton@gmail.com
I'm going to send you £5, not much I know but I'll also encourage members of my forum to send some too. They've been begging for this feature.
Cheers Garciat. GOOD JOB!!
Garciat wrote:Well, currently, the mod is not an extension, it's just a file that you can include in your main.tpl file.
I'd love to receive that file Garciat. Any chance of uploading it to somewhere or emailing the code to eroyton@gmail.com ?
If you want me to make it an extension, let me know (this could take a bit longer)
I can get by with a file include and instructions for now, definitely. But in the long term I reckon an online avatar extension would be very popular
I don't think the word "easy" can be used BUT the forums are good, clean and fast. Version 1.3 has nice easy admin features but currently there are not so many extensions.
I'm just an idiot though, so I'm bound to struggle when it comes to modifications. Someone more clever than I will be along shortly I'm sure
Anything like this for 1.3?
A 1 minute edit period would be great to help users correct typos etc.

Any idea of a time scale?
