your problem is likely a mysql installation/connection problem - so if the above suggestion doesn't help, you should contact your host as I explained in first answer.

Did you try uploading the contents of 'punbb-1.3.4' directly into the 'petRescue' ?
If you have phpmyadmin activated and created the mysql db - contact your host support....

yes, if you go to phpmyadmin you can insert and edit anything you want... time intensive though...
maybe using extension "Admin add user" will help you for adding the users....

Really a shame forumotion doesn't give you any possibility to transfer your data.

A lot of those features above won't work as the PunBB parser doesn't support them....
So those vertical seperators are the smallest problem you'll have...

Today I came across a member here using an adf.ly shortened URL in his signature/website ...
I don't think people should be earning money for linking websites here....
As a moderator I don't want to go to URL shortened sites to see if they are relevant to PunBB - normally people link to PunBB forums they run. The other websites not using PunBB forums are not welcome to be linked to here I think.
Any differing opinions?
