This is an excellent little tutorial, thanks for the link.
Looks good.
Maybe you should add it to http://www.punres.org/viewforum.php?id=2
I'm an avid cyclist. I track my miles in a spreadsheet but a blog would be the way to go.
How about keeping track of miles done in a week, month or year?
Someone please speak English (just kidding) :D
We speak Toy Story, Sarge will be out next month !!
A plugin was written for Nucleus to do what you want to do in Geeklog:
http://punbb.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=4121
What you could do is look at the plugin, which is a php file, and adapt it to Geeklog.
You can't beat Apt, or the ability to upgrade your dist without restarting!
I run a headless server, 2 years running Debian Woody. I have never had the need to put a monitor on the box to recover from a bad kernel upgrade.
Just flawless, apt-get update, apt-get upgrade, the first commands I issue in the morning.
It is my first contribution to the "Open Source" movement in any way, makes me feel pretty good.. :D
Give that man a link to download a copy of Debian :)
Take a look so far:
Looks good, Rickard should put up a page at punbb.org showcasing integration of PunBB with different CMS apps.
When supporting projects using a forum, you tend to provide links to examples of what you are working on.
More often than not, those examples move to other locations. Finding and editing all the posts to the updated urls becomes a chore to say the least.
So my feature request is to have user profile variables, let's say 10, that you could use in your posts. How you wrap these variables would be up to the forum developer but it would be similar to bbcode.
An example would be: Hey visit my site for a new PunBB skin - {user_var1}
Just an idea, a feature I haven't seen on other forums.
I wonder how people can carry on a conversation with him around.
Just my 2 cents.
Left hand forum list: Remove the in from last post so the forum list shortens.
Right hand forum: Move to the bottom.
Active topics: Move it up to the right side. Remove some fields, maybe leave topic, forum and last post.
Try too get it where the left hand forums are equal to the right hand active topics.
Just my 2 cents :)
Another satisfied forum user :)
Will spread the word.
Today's magic number is 82.
BLOG:CMS is based on Nucleus and can integrate PunBB apparently.
Yes, a plugin was made for Nucleus by radek to integrate PunBB.
On my developer site: http://hcgtv.net, you can see the integration.
The plugin as it stands does the following:
a) Creates a PunBB user when a user registers on Nucleus.
b) Lets you create a PunBB topic from a Nucleus item.
c) Provides a link to the discussion from the item footer.
My plan is to turn over all commenting on my site to PunBB. When 1.2 is released, I'd like to include the forum thread within the item, simlilar to the way blogs display inline comments.
Hope you can get what you need in this following URL http://www.exposuregallery.cjb.net/
also try this www.egal.cjb.net
It looks like this project has turned pay per view.
epileptic attack
There are a lot of gallery type scripts, in your case I don't know which one would be approriate.
Try looking in hotscripts.com and scripts.com
I believe it's taking a while because you are not using thumbnails. The actual image is populating the pages, rather slow doing it this way.
That's nice integration, the power of simplicity.
That would be a nice tutorial.
Maybe the mod_rewrite .htaccess file could be included in 1.2 as an option.
lol forget the gallery just put large versions of the pictures ;)
Yes, I agree, so we can test large image viewing in Coppermine ;)
Yeah, that was sick.
Burst my bubble :)
I have found a tabular site WITHOUT TD ... it's impressive : check it at
http://www.tbrown.org/ideas/tabularlist/
Wow, I was looking for something like that for my side menus. I use tables now but wanted it to be all via css.
Thanks for the link.
Nuremberg
The syles are controlled by the css files.
The punbb.org site is using oxygen.css from the forums and site.css for site specific elements.
