And config.php doesn't HAVE TO be 644. The only requirement is that the webserver user (e.g. httpd or nobody or something similar) can read it.

It really shouldn't affect performance in any noticeable way. More posts of course means more work for the database, but the number of topics to which these posts belong should be irrelevant.

I love it.

Users are activated the first time they log in. The problem here is that the user can't log in because he/she doesn't have a password. Just reset the user's password and e-mail it to him/her.

What if an admin wants to give a banned user a special title? For example "I'm a lame spammer".

Oh the joy smile

OK, thanks.

Why hasn't a fix been included in the current punbb?

If the transactions don't prevent this sort of race condition I can see where other problems easily could emerge, although not as often.

Because it's very rare. It will be dealt with in the next release.

Hmm. As long as you do "something", it shouldn't time out. If you spend 10 minutes writing a post then yes, it will time out. But if you visit a page or do anything that sends a request to the server, you get another 10 minutes.

The answer to your first question is that you can (if admin/options/subscriptions are enabled).

The second thing is a feature probably coming in 1.3.

Very nice project you have going there. Must have been a pain to do the initial "import" smile

Go to Admin/User groups, edit the group preferences for the user group in question and set "Post flood interval" to whatever you prefer.

Yes, I've put it on the list.

Or you could use images. Just set a background image somewhere in the stylesheet.

Or, if you know how to use patch, use the patch file. There are instructions on the download page.

Might I ask what the problem was?

http://punbb.org/docs/faq.html#faq2_7

The page you linked to does not load. Firefox says "The server at pcfred.teddypokerdeals.com is taking too long to respond.". If the server is slow, that's probably the reason your avatars aren't loading properly. Either way, it's not a PunBB problem. Talk to your host.

Topic moved.
