Just ensure something like eAccelerator, APC or Xcache are installed on your PHP setup and you will get much the same benefit as designing something akin to WP Cache for punBB, with far less hassle.

I agree, I use APC and it's great, my sites just pop and I can handle 5 times the number of users.

You honestly have to decide on one method, I've read cases where WP Cache had issues with PHP accelerators, as in handing out blank pages to users. Also, Wordpress has it's issues with a Digg effect, thus making their cache necessary where in PunBB's case you can handle the storm.

Google round / rounded corners...

Dang, snuck up on me, never saw it - thanks.

Plus... I am not 100% certain if they have all the code complete for the rewrite at the mo.

The mod rewrite stuff was complete, from my testing. So if you set up the .htaccess file, all would be fine.

Steve,

How do you get the Google ad to have rounded corners?

Oh, and all I get are html files, no forum.

Hey, I like it and I could use it.

Will you be putting it up at PunRes?

That's not true anymore wink

I follow SVN, I only see Neal and Rickard committing changes, yet there are 7 developers on the PunBB project. On this forum, Neal(Smartys) again is the only active developer with Paul posting every so often, I wonder where everybody else is these days?

So Smartys, "Wake me up, When it's ready" smile

The browser works for looking at what changed or for downloading a zip, just let us know when SVN comes back.

Thanks.

I see Neal has been busy today: http://dev.punbb.org/timeline

What URL do I use in Tortoise to access 1.3's SVN repository?

I'm a long time user of Debian and I don't rely on debs for web based apps. The apps tend to be a few revisions back and when a vulnerability comes up, you have to upgrade immediately or else it's scrip kiddie time.

Run a local test environment with XAMPP?

Then open up the CSS files in a text editor, make your changes, view them in Opera.

Gotta run: http://www.punres.org/desc.php?pid=295

milesj, awesome design.

I use Xnview for image manipulation, does a great job of optimizing JPG's.

Yes, NAT can't do what a firewall can do but it does a good enough job that you don't need a firewall.
