The Nucleus support forum is running phpBB. I've been following it for 8 months, you can say I'm active.
A couple of months ago, I discovered Pun.
Habitual comparisons between the 2 forums was instant.
Something that phpBb did, PunBB didn't do.
The best feature of Pun, is that it takes you right to where the conversation continued, where you left off.
Something that Pun does, that phpBB doesn't.
Just so people know. Is this a file overwrite or clean install job?
I do a source compre of install.php, if there are no changes then it's safe to overwrite the files.
That is incredible, but M$ has the money to compensate for idiocy.
I've yet to install SP2 on anything, I've heard good and bad.
My main machine is a clean install with SP1, no hotfixes and I'm fine. But I don't use IE or Lookout Express and every service imaginable is turned off.

But I will try out FreeDNS for any future domains, just have to see if my update client, DDClient, has support for it.

You can use extern.php, there is documentation at the beginning of the code.
Read the install.html file in the 1.1.5 zip file.

On my sites, IE browser share has been dropping for the last few months.
September:
MS Internet Explorer 67.9 %
FireFox 17.5 %
Once IE is below 50%, I'm not going to care about testing my sites in IE.
Bikes would be a category, dirt bikes, kit, etc would be forums.
Pictures can be included in posts with the [img] bbcode markup. Images would reside out on the net, not on your server.

I think worrying about the contents of ones log file is probably taking things a bit far.
Maybe I'm an extremist but I check the 404 logs and try to clean up as much as I can. If not, the error log becomes useless for debugging purposes.

We're working on IE issues, the skin will have two styles: 1.1.5 and 1.2.
You are using Douglas Livingstones negative margin technique. I tried this with viewtopic.php for PunBB 1.2 and found it suffers from a fatal flaw in internet explorer. Try dragging the browser width and watch the left column.
The Evil Empire strikes again, will look into it. Firefox seems to handle it just fine.
