A low priority insert perhaps?
as it usually takes a while going from home to work and vice versa...

Dunno how long it can be delayed in a frequently visited forum though...

Nice stats! smile

I think I know at about when you added it to that hotscripts page, by the stats it would imply that you added it in late july/beginning of august big_smile

There is already a Hebrew translation.

Look at the top of this page

Then I'm okay with it. smile

Agreed.

wink

yeah... that's true ...

anyhow ... I'll fix so that I see the category name in the location text ... as I more or less need that, as I cannot see under what category I'm posting my posts smile

if the category still is invisible for normal users if all the forums within that category is admin/mod only ... then I don't see a problem with it

yep, and it's impossible to see in what catergory your thread youre replying on is ... so I'm hesitating a while before writing stuff that's sensitive, sometimes keeping my mouth shut (ok that might be good big_smile ... but... still, there's big problems knowing exactly where the thread is) ... as I cannot see the category name (where I have things like Admin ... Private ... etc  (won't include it in the forum names, as I tried that and it looked awful)

I'll probably change my files to fix this... and I seem to be quite alone with this problem ...

(btw ... what's the use of the Home in the link bar if you've got the exact same link 4 lines down? big_smile)

Well I've got a couple of Categories, among them those that hold posts not visible by registered users ... but restricted to moderators & admins ...

And if the little line where you have the position you are at would show the category instead of the board title, I think it would be easier to really know where you post (as it's quite possible to have two forums with the same name, but located in two different categories, like "General" is a good example ... )

So I'd rather see

Category / Forum name / Thread

instead of

Board title / Forum name / Thread

It's easy to do a mod on it I guess ... but I have never figured out the purpose for it to show what's already at the top of the page smile

an inofficial forum for a computer sim (that's why I have an AC Cobra in my Avatar... I have made that car for that sim)... so I have over 300 files attached and so ... that's why the size of the db is large...

send proof of the pestering (logs, ips, time, messages, etc.) ... look though the licence agreement from that ISP, and copy the affected paragraphs to your email... and explain how that user has broken against them ...  if you're really lucky they will take action ... smile

Mine:

This forum has 9 registered users, 174 topics and 2301 posts

... perhaps not that much ... but this is from the Admin page (showing the size of the sql tables) ... and I think I might be in the lead there wink

Rows: 74701
Size: 90.96 MB

but put it up during the summer(middle of july), and isn't open to the public ... yet smile

Edit: Well so far I think I've got the biggest database at least (defenetly not most posts though)

Rows: 103820
Size: 121.75 MB

Guess people will catch this pretty fast when I now have released the attachment mod big_smile

If you can connect to the database from an asp page, you can fetch this info... but you need to write the code probably a bit different as asp aint php

Why multiple votes?

Well lets say someone want to know what days it's impossible to make a meeting.

Then he can let people vote on all days that they can be on that meeting, or such ... and then one will get a fairly good idea when most of the people are occupied or not ... I've been using this on online gaming when setting up leagues to figure out a good weekday, among other things.

It's not in the meaning that a certain user is allowed to vote 5 times, and another just 1 time.

Looking very good.

changing their answer ... no I don't think that's neccessary, at least not for me ... (although perhaps some want that toggleable option perhaps?)

single/multiple votes would be nice, and also perhaps manual close or deadline for the votes.

But it's looking very nice! smile

I will finish up the zip and release it as fast as I can ... I dunno when though ...

I do ... I have actually 20mb on some places ... as I'm dealing with large textures and 3d models on the forum where I needed it ... and thus there mightbe very large zipfiles, that I don't want to split smile

btw ... the default is 0 bytes ... and you cannot raise the value over a predefined max that's specified in a php file (where the always deny fileextentions always are listed), if you do, it reverts back to that value instead.

btw Kennel, are you happy with this new layout on the alter forum rules page? (Screenshot)
smile

and ps21: I have installed the script, and so has Kennel (he mentioned a few things, that I now have corrected) ... so if one follow the readme file, there shouldn't be any problems, I guess...

I've fixed all the things Kennel mentioned ... but I'm sooo busy at the moment (that's why I really wanted to release it last week when I said... as I knew I would be choked with work now)...

I will finish up the zip and release it as fast as I can ... I dunno when though ... but the interface has changed some to look like PunBB abit more ... Screenshot

in IE6 I sometimes doesn't get the CSS files loaded into the browser ... might be when the server I'm connecting to is under heavy load(no free connections) or something like that, and IE has perhaps some sort of timeout for fetching the CSS. I usually press refresh and it might work ... I get this on lots of pages(many different hosts, but not that often), so it might not be punbb specific.

have you configured the mail correctly in the administration panel?
your mailhost, is it your ISP or another company providing the mailservice?
have you waited a while for the mail to arrive?
(on a free mailhost I use I sometimes get mails after an hour, or even longer, or not at all, some mails are filtered away for some odd reason, so I don't see it as reliable, and don't trust it for doing these things, and only allow subscriptions as those aren't critical to get)

Hewitt: no unfortunately not yet .. hehe.. it's as of now unofficial ... and I just went to 1.0.1 from RC2 ... and I didn't want to go on fixing alll small mods until the attachment is released ...  but I can write what I've done here smile

in the main.tpl as Kennel posted url for, I simply removed this

            <span class="punheadline">{pun_title}</span><br>

but stil leaving the {pun_desc}

and in Admin-options for the forum, I have put this in the "Board Description" field:

<center><a href="http://xxx/" target="_top"><img src="http://xxx/img/MCSE.gif" border="0"></a></center>

As the forum lies in the /forum/ and I fetched the image form /img/ I wrote the whole url to the image...

I think i have deleted the column 'icq' from mySQL ... :S

Fiddling in the database without knowing what one does, isn't really wise...
You should only do stuff in the php files when modding your forum. And just comment out the output for ICQ and such instead of removing things in the database.

you are allowed to enter html in the row below the forum title (here "PunBB.org Forums"), that you can do from admin-options.

Othervise you need to check the tpl files found in include/template/ , those are quite easy to see where to edit if you know alittle html

Nice smilies smile

Will most probably take a few of those in use smile

(and I prefer ace, as it's (much)better than zip, and about rar, but IIRC I changed to ace after doing some comparations with files I often archieve, and rar wasn't as good, and the ace program handles all compressions I stumble upon(incl. rar))

Right click the username, choose DCC-Send to send files, and to revieve you will just get a dialog, in worst case you need to allow recieving files, but if someone is in chat they know exactly what you need to write...

looks good, but I would use a table to separate the logo for your site, and what day it is(instead of the spacer.png)...
