The difference being?

I got lost in the [New Posts] thing halfway through it's thread in PunBB Discussions

Did you move the "Post entered, redirecting" thing down & across a bit too? big_smile

Well if you choose to view all the posts since your last visit, and it's a busy board, then you're going to get a huge long list of new threads, which won't be as useful.

On a board this size I believe the feature is ideal, because most people will want to read each new post - but if there are thousands of posts a day, you're going to get lost in a list of threads that you've no interest in.

I know what I'm thinking, it's hard to explain smile

Yeh it's nice - could get difficult with a massive board, but we'll worry about that when we get to it big_smile

Oh, the way you put it, you made it sound as if the problem was Internet Explorer.

The thing I was referring to was the framed redirect and cookie problem

-I log in, and it says "Logged In Successfully, redirecting...", but then I still won't be logged in. Why?

Will the "Post Reply" function become obselete soon? It seems to me that there is no real advantage to opening up a new page in order to post.

The only difference I see is the "Show smilies as icons" and "Subscribe to this topic" features. Well, you can still subcribe to the topic from the thread itself anyway.

I'm sure theres a good reason for it being there, I just haven't thought of it yet smile

Just one more thing left on the to-do list big_smile

That was my point ps21 smile - "as a concept its good"

Not bad smile

Colours are...for an acquired taste, but as a concept its good

Hehe, neat.

Learn something new every day.

Just when you make a post, your own username is underlined to go through to your profile, but nobody elses is.

Is this just an easier way to find your own posts in a thread?
