Last time we had a music thread in here....

Erm, he's Swedish, and is involved in computers.

So he will be the guy converting the Swedish Porno reels into DVD format, obviously..

Hehe, I read that link in the last post at racismcentral.com - I thought it was a little risky!

So I thought I'd tell you that today we got promoted :)

A 3-0 victory away from home means that we are now guaranteed a top 3 finish, enough to promote us.

For the best part of the season, we have had only 2 players over the age of 18, playing in this senior league. Last year we had to win the last game in order to avoid finishing rock bottom.

This year I have been captain and the majority of lads range from 15-18 years.

So hah!

The way they got around it was to have an automated clean install of the different packages each hour

It worked well for the CMS world:

Just found these on the BBC website:

Swedish cooks and nostrils

In Sweden there are a number of funny linguistic holes to fall into. Kok (pronounced - sheuk) means cook, but the the word kuk (pronounced - cook) refers to the male sex organ. So beware when you're trying to say you're a cook!
A previous contributor mentioned that the word gift in German means poison - in Swedish the word means both poison AND marriage.
Finally, the nostril is known as nasborre which has a direct translation of "nose-drill".

Exit through the backside I
My favourite Swedish word is fart, which means speed, pace.
You can find quite a few interesting signs with this word when driving in Sweden, for example infart, entrance or utfart, exit.
On the motorways there are signs saying fartskontroll where you can get pulled over if you're doing it too fast - driving that is.

Exit through the backside II
I want to add to Dina's speedy Swedish fart and say that the word for speed bump is fart-hinder.
If you go over one at 50kmph it has quite the opposite effect.

Dubbelkrapp at the supermarket
When I first moved to Sweden I spotted a toilet roll called Krapp and another one Dubbelkrapp and a kitchen roll called Kok. We have here a chocolate bar called Plopp. There is tinned ham called Bog and if you're lucky you may find a product that is slut, meaning "out of stock".

That red arrow is very patronising :D

That disappointed "oh.." they give when they realise Granny's priceless heir looms are actually bits of yarn :D

They don't let them into your home actually :D

The tour the country going to Town Halls and such, and people bring along their things!

What you want to watch is "Cash in the Attic", where they invade your home and value things..

Swedes

Get out

For you non-UK readers, this is a TV show where experts will value your items that you may have in your house.

Some woman just had an array of pieces of jewellry, each bought for 10p (about the price of a lollipop) just a month ago.

One was worth £2
The most were valued £20-50
And the final piece was worth £750-1000

I'd hate to be the mug who sold it for 10p :)

First sleep, now alcohol. What kind of developer are you? :x

I don't think this feature should be in - it's not really in the spirit of PunBB.

I can see why some people wouldn't want it, but I can't see it being essential. If you don't want to read someone's post, just ignore it.

I know lots of you are asking for vBulletin features, which begs the question, why not use vBulletin? It's just that Pun is fast and clean for precisely the reason that it isn't feature rich. You can't have it all :(

My thoughts exactly.

hence the words "not often" ;)
i have installed my forums from college twice....

Make sure you know who is looking over your shoulder then :)

I think when you're setting up forums, you need to know exactly what you have typed, because it would take a while to set everything up again if you mistyped something.

Hehe, don't think I've ever solved a problem before :D

Have you tried uploading the admin_forums.php file to your webspace again?

Thank you, come again [/apu]

Well what was up with the converter? I ran it perfectly :D

What versions of PunBB and phpBB were you running?

Do a search :D

If Rickard says he'll look into it, then it will most likely be incorporated into the next release of Pun.

I don't remember on this before so perhaps there isn't a quickfix going.
